A micro-SaaS is a small piece of software that people pay for every month. It does one job for one group, for example reminders for hair salons or quotes for plumbers.

The steps to a first subscriber

  1. Find one painful, repeated task in a group you know.
  2. Talk to ten people in that group before you build.
  3. Build the smallest version that does that one job.
  4. Charge from day one, with a free trial if you like.

A good sign: one person who is not a friend pays for a second month.

Do it now

Tick it off when it is done. Your ticks are saved on this device.

Quick check

Pick an answer to see how you did.

In a typical case, how long until the first money comes in?

Your challenge

Check it before you spend

Interview 15 people with the problem.

You are done when:

  • You wrote down what you found
  • You know whether to carry on or adjust

You report this yourself. Nobody checks, so it only counts if you really did it.
