How selling resin art works

  • Lesson 1 of 23

  • Free lesson

You mix two parts of epoxy resin carefully by weight or volume, add colour, glitter, dried flowers or names, pour it into moulds and let it cure. Then you demould, sand the edges if needed and package each piece.

Good first products

  • Coasters (sets of four).
  • Keyrings and bookmarks with names or initials.
  • Small trays and trinket dishes.
  • Keepsakes: wedding flowers, baby names, memorial pieces.

The steps to your first sale

  1. Set up a level, ventilated work space.
  2. Practise pours with a small kit until your pieces are clear and bubble-free.
  3. Cost each product.
  4. Photograph your best pieces in daylight.
  5. Offer custom name gifts to people you know.

A good sign: people ask for a custom piece for a wedding, a baby or a memorial.

Do it now

Tick it off when it is done. Your ticks are saved on this device.

Quick check

Pick an answer to see how you did.

In a typical case, how long until the first money comes in?

Your challenge

Check it before you spend

Pour one set of four coasters and cost it.

You are done when:

  • You wrote down what you found
  • You know whether to carry on or adjust

You report this yourself. Nobody checks, so it only counts if you really did it.
