A nursing agency places you in hospitals, clinics, care homes or private homes for single shifts or short contracts. You choose which shifts to accept.

How it works

  1. You register with an agency or platform and send your documents.
  2. The agency checks your SANC registration and references.
  3. Shifts are offered by app, SMS or phone. You accept the ones that suit you.
  4. You work the shift, sign a timesheet and get paid on the agency's pay cycle.

Who uses agencies: private hospitals, care homes, home-care clients and some public facilities.

A good sign: your documents are approved and you have your first shift booked within a month.

Do it now

Tick it off when it is done. Your ticks are saved on this device.

Quick check

Pick an answer to see how you did.

In a typical case, how long until the first money comes in?

Your challenge

Check it before you spend

Check your employment contract or apply for permission for outside work.

You are done when:

  • You wrote down what you found
  • You know whether to carry on or adjust

You report this yourself. Nobody checks, so it only counts if you really did it.
