How selling teaching resources works

  • Lesson 1 of 23
  • 5 min read
  • Free lesson

You sell digital worksheets, lesson plans, assessments, posters and revision packs to teachers and parents. Each file is made once and sold many times.

Where it sells

  • Teacha! is a South African marketplace for teaching resources. Opening a shop is free, and Teacha! keeps 35% of paid sales.
  • Your own WhatsApp and social media, with a payment link, for parents and teachers you know.
What sells

CAPS-aligned material by grade, subject and term, such as revision packs before exams, term assessments with memos, and classroom displays.

Check this first

under the Copyright Act, work made in the course of your employment usually belongs to your employer. Read your contract and school policy before selling material you made for school.

A good sign: your first sale within a month of listing ten good resources.

Do it now

Tick it off when it is done. Your ticks are saved on this device.

Quick check

Pick an answer to see how you did.

In a typical case, how long until the first money comes in?

Your challenge

Check it before you spend

Upload 10 resources for one grade and subject.

You are done when:

  • You wrote down what you found
  • You know whether to carry on or adjust

You report this yourself. Nobody checks, so it only counts if you really did it.
