Value mode

Creator

You make new things (words, visuals, products, ideas) and care how they look and feel.

Creators add value by producing something that did not exist before: a logo, a lesson pack, a short video, a cake, a piece of copy. The product is the thing itself, and buyers judge it by looking at it. That makes a portfolio worth more than a CV, and it makes pricing awkward, because each piece feels personal.

Signs this might be you

  • You lose track of time making things, even when nobody asked for them.
  • People comment on how things you made look or read.
  • You would rather redo something than ship it "good enough".

Tendency is not proof

Enjoying making things is a tendency. Proof is someone outside your family paying for a piece, or choosing yours over an alternative. Plenty of people love designing but have never had a stranger accept their price. That gap is what your first month should close.

Where Creators tend to earn

Selling made things (designs, writing, content, crafted products) or creative services to clients.

A cheap first test

Make three small samples aimed at one specific buyer (for example, menu boards for local takeaways) and offer one at a fixed, published price to five real prospects this week. Count replies. Likes do not pay.

The usual mistake

Spending weeks perfecting a portfolio or online shop before anyone has been asked to buy. The second most common mistake is underpricing to win the first client and then being stuck at that rate.

Friction to plan for

Pricing your own work, repeating the same thing on demand, and the selling that happens after the making. It often pairs well with Persuade or Connect, to get the work in front of buyers.

In South Africa

Local marketplaces (Teacha!, Takealot Marketplace, Facebook Marketplace) and WhatsApp catalogues let South African creators sell without paid ads. International platforms work too, but you need a working payout route (PayPal via FNB, or Payoneer) first.

This is part of Earn Path's own framework, not a validated psychometric test. Your money, time, connectivity and willingness to sell carry more weight in your matches than your profile does.
